BOWLS

Bringing together the papier mache bowls that feature as part of my practice
Bowls for a Quarryman, bible paper and slate dust.
Bowls for a Miner, bible paper and mine waste.
3 Bowls for Dr Davies, bible paper.

This bowl is inspired by the words of a song by Dafydd Jones (1803-1886), a balladmonger from Llanybydder who was blinded by Lime and also known as Dewi Medi or Dewi Dywyll.

Rhaid cael Cymry i'r dorri'r garreg,
Nid  yw'r graig yn deall Saesneg.

You must get Welshmen to break the stone,
For the rock does not understand English.
